The HARMONY GARDEN is an independent research and education organization that conducts applied and socially responsive research to the health and well-being of young girls in collaboration with community partners in health, education, and neighborhoods. |

“Our research and educational experiences have taught us that individuals who gather together for change can transform the environment, beliefs, and norms of a community. We are committed to building a collective community effort to address the health and well-being of girls through the formation of solid research partnerships with girls, their caregivers, and organizations serving girls. We are excited to work together with community residents to explore the idea of participatory research as a means of informed engagement in community action.”
Currently, HARMONY GARDEN is in the initial stages of conducting a pilot project with mothers who live in Cincinnati’s West End neighborhood .Through learning and using action research methods, mothers engage in problem solving and critical thinking skills to work with other community residents on relevant issues related to growing healthy girls.
